Augusto Aponte, 83 of Paterson, passed away on October 21, 2022.

Born in Tunja, Boyaca, Colombia, he came to the US in 1967 and lived in New York City before moving to Paterson over 50 years ago.

Beloved husband of Eufemia (Llanos) Aponte. Devoted father of Patricia Aponte of Paterson, Kevin Aponte and his wife Kelvy of Clifton, and Augusto Aponte, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Nutley. Loving grandfather of Kristine, Kristopher, Sebastian and Steven. Dear brother of Gustavo and Teleforo Aponte, and the late Bertha and Graciela.

Visiting Thursday 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral service Thursday 12 Noon at the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
