Obituary

August "Augie" Marino, 86, of Clifton, passed away on December 29, 2014. Born in Paterson, he lived in Pt. Pleasant and Florida, and has been a resident of Clifton for over 50 years. A Navy Veteran of WW II, Augie was a member of the Quentin-Roosevelt American Legion Post #8, Clifton. Augie was a Movie Operator at the Allwood Theater on Market St. in Clifton for many years and at the RKO Theater in Willowbrook before retiring several years ago, and was a member of the International Association of Theatre and Stage Employees. Augie also worked as a funeral assistant for many local funeral homes including both the Shook Funeral Home and Intelisano-Scarpa Funeral Home, in Clifton, and Trinka-Faustini Funeral Home in Maywood. Beloved husband for 45 years of Dorothy (Post). Loving son of the late August and Rose (Padula) Marino. Dear uncle of Michael Post and his wife Sue of Manahawkin, and Harold Post of Clifton. Cherished great uncle of Caitlin, Jessica and Chelsea. Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Friday 3-6 PM at the funeral home.
