Arthur John DeMarsico, 68, of Newark passed away on September 26, 2015. Born in North Adams, MA, he was raised in Passaic and Clifton and lived in various parts of New Jersey before moving to Newark 2 years ago. A US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, Arthur worked as a Tool and Dye Maker for Regency Elevator Co., Newark, for many years and was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Arthur is survived by two sons, Arthur James DeMarsico and Christopher J. DeMarsico; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Gerard "Jerry" DeMarsico; 2 nieces, Lisa and Jordan; 1 nephew, Damian; and was a cherished father-figure of Desiree Ibbotson, Randi Carrol, and Crystal, Renee and Jodi Smigiel. Arthur will be greatly missed by his cats Sasha, Fluffy and Baby Boy. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Memorial services will begin at 3:30 PM.
