Argante Tacchi, 90, of Clifton passed away on October 16, 2011. Born in Branca P. Perugia, Italy, Argante moved to the US in 1961 and settled in Passaic before moving to Clifton shortly thereafter. Argante was a master of many trades and worked as a farmer and baker before joining the Nutley School System as a Custodian, retiring in 1985. Beloved husband of Lina (Sabatini). Devoted father of Aldo Tacchi and his wife Anna, Orietta DiGennaro and her husband Anthony and Donna Tacchi and her husband William Kenny. Cherished grandfather of Mark DiGennaro and his wife Monia, Elisa Tacchi and her husband Stefano Casoli, Laura and Christina Tacchi, Matthew and Daniel Kenny and the late Paul Michael DiGennaro. Adored great-grandfather of Alessia and Isabel DiGennaro and Giulia Casoli. Dear brother of the late Joseph Tacchi, Isolina Monacelli and Marina Spigarelli. Funeral Thursday, 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Visiting Wednesday, 4 - 8 PM.
