Antonio B. Garcia, 76, of Clifton passed away on September 13, 2011. Born in Zurgena Almeria, Spain, he came to the US in 1959 and lived in Garfield and Paterson before moving to Clifton in 1977. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Antonio was a member of the Spanish-Portugese Club in Paterson. A member of Local # 1733, Antonio was a Textile Dyer for Zenith Dyeing and Finishing in Paterson for 30 years, as well as a Chef with the Rustic Lodge in Elmwood Park for 20 years, retiring in June of 1990. Beloved husband for 53 years of Francisca "Frances" (Garcia). Devoted father of Andrew John Garcia, Sr. and his wife Jane A. of Cedar Grove, and Dolores Potash and her husband David of Nutley. Loving grandfather of Andrew John, Jr. and Steven Garcia, Matthew and Nicole Potash. Dear brother of the late Bartolome, Loving uncle of the late Dolores Sanchez. Funeral Saturday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Thursday 7-9 PM, Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
