Antonieta Careri (Pappalardo), 90, of East Rutherford passed away on March 19, 2022. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she traveled to the US in 1963 and lived in Wallington before settling in East Rutherford 42 years ago. Antonieta was the owner and operator of Antonette's Beauty Salon, East Rutherford, for over 40 years before retiring in 2013.

Beloved wife of the late Jose Careri who passed away in 2020. Devoted mother of Hector Careri of Bloomingdale, Stella Atry and her husband Robert of Clifton, William Careri and his wife Karin of Bushkill Falls, PA, and Joseph Careri and his wife Darlene of GA. Loving grandmother of Joey, Mikey, Cristina, Tina Jo, Brandy Rose, Stephanie, William, Jr., Selena, Jacob and Gabriella. Cherished great grandmother of Joseph, Nicholas, Ariana, Leilani, Naomi and Jeremiah. Dear sister of Dante Pappalardo of Kissimmee, FL, the late Frances Mayayo and Louis Pappalardo.

Funeral Arrangements were private under the direction of Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
