Antoni Babicz, 88, of Clifton passed away on July 14, 2011. Born in Poland he came to the US in 1951 and settled in Clifton. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Tony was the Owner of Tony's Auto Body Shop in Passaic for many years, retiring in 1988. In 1941, Tony was sent to Siberia and joined the Polish Army in 1942 serving in WW II and was a member of the Polish Army Veteran's Post # 36, Passaic. A member of the Paterson, Lyndhurst, and West Side Pidgeon Clubs, Tony bred and raised Racing Pidgeons since 1955, and won numerous races over the years. In 1947 Tony married his first wife of 55 years the late Zofia (Dolegowska), who died in 2002. In 2005 Tony married his second wife Aleksandra (Ugorowska). Dear brother of Stephanie of the Ukraine. Loving uncle of Walter, and Stanley Babicz and his wife Ludmila of Wayne. Funeral Monday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton.
