Anthony "Tony" R. Schimenti, 69, of Clifton, passed away on November 4, 2015. Born in Passaic, he lived in Passaic and Clifton all of his life. A Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, Tony was a member of Rosol-Dul American Legion Post #359, Passaic. Tony worked for A. Santini Storage Co. of NJ, and later was a Customer Representative for Gaeta Recycling in Paterson for several years. An avid NY Giants Fan, Tony enjoyed fishing and spending time with his cherished grandchildren. Beloved husband for 46 years of Vera (Carroll). Devoted father of Lisa Janssen and her husband Daniel of Queensbury, NY, Robert Schimenti and his wife Christine of Cedar Grove. Dear son of Anthony of Passaic and the late Theodora (Fiore). Loving and proud grandfather of Julia, Amanda, Ava, Ruby and Vincent. Brother in law of Bill and Nancy. Funeral Service Tuesday, 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
