Anthony "Tony" Merandino, 95, of Clifton, passed away on August 12, 2024. Born and raised in New York City, he lived in East Rutherford before moving to Clifton in 1951. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton, Tony was a member of the Holy Name Society and a former member of the St. Clare's HSA. A US Army Veteran during the Korean War, "Tracey" as he was known to his friends, worked for the Laborer's Union, Local #346, Ft. Lee, for 25 years, retiring in 1993.

Beloved husband of Rosary (Troiano). Devoted father of Anita Lyons and her husband Richard of Clifton, Philip Merandino and his wife Susan of Lincoln Park, Roseann Previ and her husband John of Mountain Lakes, and Ann Marie Graniere and her husband Richard of Wayne. Loving grandfather of Mallori Merandino-O'Connor and her husband Brian, Christie Jackson and her husband Stephen, Dana Disimino and her husband John, Kevin Lyons and his wife Nicole, Sean Lyons, Richie, Jake, Anthony and Brooke Graniere, and the late Marc Mazzariello. Cherished great grandfather of Felicity, Colette, Brody, Lena Rose, Luke, Carter and Thomas. Dear brother of the late Sydney Tinnerello and Lee Connelly. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visiting Thursday, August 15, 2024, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, August 16, 2024, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Cremation, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
