Annette Swenda, 83, of Clifton, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on February 28, 2020.

Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton. A parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton, Annette was a member of the Sisterhood of St. Barbara, and was Student Admissions Clerk at Berkeley College in Woodland Park for many years. A member of the Albion VFW Post #7165, Clifton, Annette enjoyed her many girlfriend groups, good music, and dancing.

Beloved wife of the late Edward R. Swenda, who passed away in 1993. Devoted mother of Cheryl Yaroshefsky and her husband Arthur of Wayne, and Gregory Swenda of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Michael Yaroshefsky.

Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home, Panikhida 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, 35 Orange Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013, or the Sisterhood of St. Barbara at the church, in memory of Annette, would be greatly appreciated.
