Anna (Zarembczan) Smarduch, 98, of Clifton, passed away on May 1, 2012. Born in Chicago, she lived in Poland, returning to the US in 1962 and settled in Passaic before moving to Clifton over 35 years ago. A parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic, Anna worked in the Housekeeping Department of Passaic General Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1978. Beloved wife of the late Stanislaw who passed away in 1981. Devoted mother of Joseph and his late wife Lucyna of Chicago, Maria Czubernat of Clifton and Aniela Galarowicz of Verona. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
