Aniela Plewa (Koszarek), 91, at rest on January 15, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 28, 1927 to Antoni and Anna Koszarek in Maniowy, Poland.
Predeased by her husband Stanislaw Plewa in 1974, she emigrated to the United States a year later settling in Clifton.
She was predeased by all five of her siblings: Albina, Franciszek, Jan, Jozef and Mikolaj.
Aniela took great pride in her home and garden. She enjoyed cooking traditional Polish dishes and will be remembered for many delicacies. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Passaic.
Throughout her 91 years, she showed fierce determination and strength in everything she did. She also taught her family many Polish customs still observed by her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the beloved mother of Lucy Bednarczyk of Lincoln Park, Walter (Krystyna) Plewa of Kinnelon and John (Maria) Plewa of Fair Lawn. Aniela was predeceased by son-in-law John Bednarczyk in 2001. She was a very special Babcia to Jackie (Maciej) Bryja, Gabriela (Janusz) Grygus, Stanley (Christine) Plewa, Kathy (Matthew) Cote, John Plewa
,
Christopher Bednarczyk
and
Renata Plewa.
She was an adored Prababcia of Olivia and Jakub Bryja, Gabriel and Ella Grygus, Haydyn, Carson and Hudson Cote.
