Angelo Avola, 80, of Paterson passed away on September 9, 2025. Born in Vitoria, Sicily, he has been a resident of Paterson for many years. Angelo was a mason for many years and enjoyed what he did.

Beloved husband of Mary Avola. Devoted father of the late Lisa Maria. Cherished son of the late Maria & Giovanni Avola. Dear brother of the late Grazie Muscia. Uncle of the late John Muscia. Great-uncle of Christine Muscia, Aubriana Broere, Giovanni Muscia, Alexis Muscia, Addyson Muscia, Damiano Muscia, Rocky Muscia, Monica Muscia and the late Rocco Muscia. Godfather of Michelle Dolce Colucci.

Cremation was private under the direction of Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 7-9PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., with a prayer service beginning at 8PM. Burial of ashes will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10AM at Calvary Cemetery, 58 McLean Blvd., Paterson. Kindly meet directly at the cemetery.
