Angeline (Messineo) Scangarello, 92, of Clifton passed away on June 23, 2013. Born in Passaic, Angeline lived in Clifton for all of her life. She was employed at Athenia Steel, a Division of National Standard Co., Clifton, from 1941-1949. Angeline was also a caretaker and a housewife who was very active in the Clifton Elementary School #15 PTA. Most recently, Angeline was employed as a part time Seamstress for Margaret Torack, Clifton, before retiring in 1978. A parishioner of St. Paul RC Church, Clifton, Angeline was a member of the church's Rosary Society and Leisure Club. She was also a member of the Clifton Dutch Hill Resident's Association. Beloved wife for 67 years of James Scangarello. Devoted mother of Anita Scangarello and Nancy Scangarello and her husband Edward Wegrzyniak, all of Clifton. Dear sister of Josephine Messineo of Clifton, Eleanor Frazza of Newtown, PA, and the late Lt. Stephen Messineo, who passed away at Anzio, Italy during WWII. Cherished aunt of Mark Frazza and his wife Sally, Janine Frazza, Christian Frazza and Elizabeth Bewley and her husband Norlan. Funeral Wednesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
