Angela Dina Martinez Cordova, 100, of Clifton passed away on July 11, 2016. Born in Barranco, Lima, Peru, Angela came to the US in 1996 and settled in Haskell before moving to Paterson and later to Clifton. Angela was very proud of the fact that she was able to gain her US citizenship at the age of 97.

Angela was devoted to God and spent countless hours praying and reading the bible. She loved to share her many talents with her family, namely her cooking, crocheting, and sewing abilities, and she never missed her soap opera's or her favorite show, Caso Cerrado. Amongst her large, loving family, Angela was known to never miss her tea and crackers before bed and she made sure to always go to bed at the stroke of midnight. A truly loved woman, Angela will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Caring step-mother of Vilma, Nora, Esperanza, Oscar and their families. Devoted grandmother of Roberto and his wife Gloria, Augusto, Alex and his wife Veronica, Cynthia, Martin, Fiorella and her husband Dan, Monica, Angela, Roger, Maria, Margarita, Julissa, Emmanuel and Liz. Cherised great-grandmother of Sandra, Karina, Brian, Julia, Pedro, Jacqueline, Stephanie, Roberto Carlos, Jay Alessandro, Andre and Anderson. Loving great-great-grandmother of Carolina, Maria Paz, Jamille, Naomi, Marycielo, Jacobo and Guadalupe. Dear aunt of Martha, Roberto, Norma and Aida Canessa. Great-Aunt of Fernando Virto, Oscar, Christian and Janette Castillo. Angela was the oldest of 14 children and she is predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters.

Visiting Friday 4-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with a prayer service to be held during the visitation. Cremation Private.
