Angela Ines (Polnik) Kowalczyk, 47, of Boston, MA, passed away on November 1, 2017. Born in Görlitz, Germany, Angela lived in Dresden, Germany, before moving to Boston. She received her BFA from Suffolk University in Boston before beginning her career. Angela was a Senior Designer for Motiv in Boston for 3 years, after spending nearly 8 years with Phillips Design Group, a company that ultimately merged with Motiv. During her time with those firms, Angela played an essential role in the national campaigns for many products and companies; most notably she was a lead in their work with the Keurig and Gillette companies.
Angela had a significant impact throughout the community with all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She was active in her children's studies at Polish School and was very active in working with the Eliot School where she served on the Parent Counsel and helped to expand the many programs offered by the school, such as the robotics program. She also volunteered with the Museum of Fine Arts and Children's Museums, both in Boston.
Beloved wife of Stanislaw for 12 years. Devoted mother of Aliana Grace and Sophia Renee. Loving daughter of Karl Christian Polnik and the late Ingeborg Renate Polnik. Dear sister of Henrik Rüdiger and Marita Tanja Polnik. Cherished friend of Barbara Fain and Jason Gilbert, who started as friends and then became family.
Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Aliana and Sophia, c/o Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, to be used for their college funds would be greatly appreciated.
