Andrzej F. Zachwieja, 73, of Garfield passed away on December 19, 2023. Born in Szczawnica, Poland, he came to the US in 1992 and settled in Garfield. Before coming to the US, Andrzej proudly served in the Polish Army for several years. A former parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, Garfield, Andrzej is a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.

Beloved husband for 49 years of Anna (Soltys). Devoted father of Andrzej K. Zachwieja and his wife Zofia, Marzena Galowicz and her husband Jan, and Justyna Mortillaro and her husband Louis.
Loving grandfather of Zaneta, Christopher, Olivier and Michael. Dear brother of Sofia, Maria, Stanislawa, Jan, Anna, Wanda, Wladyslawa, and the late Krystyna and Eugeniusz.

Visiting Thursday, December 21, 2023, 6-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, December 22, 2023, 8:15 AM at the funeral home and 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
