Andrew Rachko, of Passaic, passed away on January 28, 2015. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident. An active 65 year parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral, Clifton, Andrew served on the Church Board since 1954. Andrew was an Electrician for Fein Container Corp. in Saddle Brook for many years, retiring in 1992. Devoted husband for 66 years of Dorothy (Mekita). Beloved father of Andrea Rachko of Passaic, Douglas and his wife Susan of Minnesota, Kenneth and his wife Elaine of California. Loving grandfather of Ruslan and Nicholas. Dear brother of Helen Morris of Passaic and the late Anna Rachko. Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Sunday 3-7 PM at the funeral home, with Parastas at 4 PM. The family will accept flowers, however, if desired donations made to UO Holy Ascension Cathedral, 635 Broad St., Clifton, NJ 07013, in memory of Andrew, would be greatly appreciated.
