Anastasia (Zdanowicz) Horohonich, 79, of Manchester passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2017, at Villa Marie Claire Hospice, Saddle River. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Saddle Brook before moving to Manchester 16 years ago.
Anastasia worked in the banking industry for over 30 years before retiring in 2001. Anastasia was a member of Christ the Savior Russian Orthodox Church in Paramus. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and a devout Christian. She enjoyed reading, theatre, and opera.
Beloved wife of the late Frank Horohonich, who passed away in 2012. Devoted mother of Jeffrey Horohonich of Saddle Brook, Stephen Horohonich and his wife, Shirley, of St. Petersburg, FL, and Susan Mayes. Cherished grandmother of Christine, Caroline, Michael, and Katherine. Anastasia is predeceased by her four brothers, John, Walter, Joe and Stanley; and four sisters, Helen, Jean, Frances and Sally. A special thank you to friends and family for all your prayers and support.
Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Christ the Savior Russian Orthodox Church, Paramus. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM with Panachida at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Anastasia's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be greatly appreciated.
