Amalia (Aguirre) DeTorres, 90, of Jersey City, passed away on July 5, 2017. Born in the Philippines, she came to the US in 1982 and lived in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Jersey City many years ago.
Beloved mother of Carmelita DeTorres of Clifton, Delia Faustino of Jersey City, Leonardo DeTorres of Clifton, and Ana Racquel Estanislao of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Winston, Jeannie, Dominic, Gerome, Emmanuel, Daniel, Rafael, Ysabel, Isabella and Jeannette. Dear sister of Maria Aguirre of Clifton, and Amada Trinidad in the Philippines.
Funeral Monday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Sunday 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
