Alicia Carter, 57, of Clifton, passed away on March 10, 2026, after a courageous 7-year battle with breast cancer.
Born on December 29, 1968, in Passaic to Rosilyn Struller and the late Gary Carter, Alicia was a longtime resident of Clifton. She worked as a dedicated screening specialist for Employment Record Services of Florida.
Alicia will be remembered for her creativity and the joy she found in the simple things in life. She loved spending time doing paint-by-number projects and various arts and crafts, often creating pieces that reflected her patience and artistic spirit. These hobbies brought her peace and were a reflection of her thoughtful and creative nature. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Throughout her seven-year battle with cancer, Alicia showed incredible strength, determination, and resilience. She faced each challenge with courage and continued to fight with unwavering spirit, inspiring those around her with her perseverance and bravery.
Above all, Alicia was a devoted mother to her daughter and son, Brianna and Jordan Parsons, who were the center of her world and the greatest joy in her life.
Alicia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Gary Carter, his wife Fanny Yepez, nieces and nephew Nyah and Giovanni, and Crystal. Her friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 14, from 4–6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation was private.
