Alice Van Houten (Fragakis), 90, of Clifton on July 15, 2009. Born in Chicago, she lived in Illinois and Indiana and later Paterson before moving to Clifton in 1960. A Blue Print Inspector for Curtiss-Wright in Wood-Ridge for many years before retiring, Alice was a volunteer in the Pharmacy Dept. at Passaic General Hospital for over 20 years. Alice was a member of the SVEA Lodge, the Clifton Senior Association and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Quentin-Roosevelt American Legion Post # 8, Clifton. Beloved wife of the late John who died in 2003. Devoted mother of Edith Van Houten of Clifton, and the late Edward Campbell who died in 1999. Dear sister of Albert Fragakis of Schaumburg, Ill. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Doloch, Mark Campbell and Marissa Alyson Van Houten. Cherished great grandmother of Caelyn, Shane and Elaina Campbell, Jillian and Joseph Doloch. Cremation was private. Burial of Alice's ashes will take place Monday, July 27, 2009, 11AM, in the family plot in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
