Alice Patricia (Gusciora) Bacik, 88, died peacefully at her home in Clifton on February 1, 2014. Born November 3, 1925 to the late John and Catherine (Kowalski) Gusciora in Garfield, she graduated with honors from St. Stanlislaus Kostka Middle School and subsequently Garfield HS, Class of 1944. Alice was formerly employed with Curtiss Wright in Woodridge, Pantasote, and The Treat Restaurant, both in Passaic. She was an active member of SS. Peter-Paul RO Cathedral, Passaic, and currently at Assumption of the Holy Virgin RO Church, Clifton. She enjoyed helping various organizations across the nation and loved vacationing with her family for two weeks every summer. Beloved wife for 33 years of the late John Bacik, Jr., who passed away in 1987. Devoted mother of John Bacik, III of Clifton, Deborah Sancenito and her late husband Mark of Clifton; Archpriest Lawrence Bacik and his wife Matushka Marie Carmella of Kalamazoo, MI, and Richard Bacik and his wife Erika of Nutley. Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Victoria, Nicholas, Richard, and Ava. Loving aunt of numerous nephews and nieces. Dear sister of Adele Struminski and her husband Thomas of Ridge, NY, Fred "Butch" Gusciora and his late wife Joan of Rutherford, and the late Edward "Pinky" Gusciora. Alice is also survived by her aunt Lottie Cwalinski and her late husband Sigmund of Jackson. Funeral Friday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin RO Church. Interment, Ss. Peter & Paul RO Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at funeral home with Parastas at 8 PM. Memorial donations made in Alice's name to either Assumption of the Holy Virgin RO Church, 35 Orange Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013, or SS.
