Alexandria (Dzierzawiec) Black, 92, of Passaic, passed away on December 18, 2014. Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident. A former parishioner of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, Alexandria worked in the Deli Department of Pathmark in Clifton for 10 years, retiring in 2005, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Black who passed away in 1975. Devoted mother of Robert Dion of Naples, FL, Raymond Dion and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" of Lexington Park, MD, Richard Dion of Paramus, and his late wife Theresa. Loving grandmother of Karen and Kelly of MD, Colleen of NY, Robin, Rachel and Adam of FL, Andrew of TX, and the late Robert. Cherished great grandmother of Tyler, Kasey, Sarah, Alex, Jayden and JoJo. Dear sister of Helen Carney of PA, and Bertha Roehrich of Saddle Brook. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, December 27, 2014, 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10:30 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Interment, Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Eder, Richard and Alex Pfeiff, and Tyler Gatton. Visiting Saturday morning 9-10 AM at the funeral home.
