Obituary

Alexander J. Kopsel, 95, of Clifton, passed away on February 20, 2016. Born in Butler, PA, he lived in Clifton most of his life.

A parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton, Alexander was a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service on Paulison Ave., Clifton for 32 years, retiring in 1983, and was a member of the Montclair Beach Club, Upper Montclair. A US Army Air Corp Veteran of WW II, Alexander was a member of both the VFW and American Legion, Clifton.

Beloved husband of the late Helen (Bortnichak), who passed away in 2000. Devoted father of Allan Kopsel of Clifton, and the late Alexis Vale who passed away in 2013. Loving brother of Ann Ardito of Little Falls.

Funeral Wednesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Tuesday 4-7 PM at the funeral home with Parastas at 6:30 PM.
