Albin W. Swaluk, 88, of Clifton on February 1, 2010. Born in Passaic, he lived there before moving to Clifton in 1948.

An Army Veteran of WW II, Albin was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, and was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post and American Legion Post #347, Clifton.

An active parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Albin served as an usher for many years and was a member of the Holy Name Society, Golden Circle, and Regina Mundi Knights of Columbus Council #3969, Clifton. Albin was a Hose Maker and Warehouse Manager for Okonite in Passaic, where he worked for 20 years, retiring in 1986.

Beloved husband of the late Stella "Stacey" (Sondey). Devoted father of Daniel and Nancy, both of Clifton. Dear brother of the late Joseph and Michael Swaluk, and Stella Zuwatsky.

Funeral Friday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. www.shookfh.com
