Albert Stanziano Jr., 73, of Clifton, NJ passed away on April 18, 2021.
At an early age, Albert exhibited a gifted ear and golden hands of a piano prodigy. A graduate of The Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, OH., he then received his Masters degree from The Julliard School in New York City. After graduation, Albert spent many years traveling Europe performing as a concert pianist, where he enjoyed his time in Switzerland the most. Returning to Clifton, he taught piano and coached many of opera's greatest local voices.
With pride, he spent his last decade at the West Point Military Academy in New York as the coach and mentor of the Department of Foreign Languages: Piano and Voice Mentorship Program, which he co-created.
Albert had a passion for studying, appraising and collecting rare antiques and Fine Art. He specialized in African Tribal Artifacts- many of which he acquired during his time in Europe.
He was an avid reader with constant curiosity in many subjects. Albert loved listening to music almost as much as he loved playing his Steinway Grand. He performed many concerts and was a founding member of the Ariadne Trio.
Al always had an open door, a fresh pot of coffee and an ear for everyone's troubles. He always knew just the right thing to say.
Albert is survived by countless loving friends and family to whom he will remain a grace note in the symphony of their lives.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at noon at Saint John Kanty Church- 49 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ with repass to follow on the premises of the church. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made to the Children's Music Fund, in memory of Albert.
