Albert Duran's Obituary
Albert Duran, 75, of Paterson, passed away on January 23, 2018. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he moved to Bronx, NY in 1950 and has been a resident of Paterson since 1976.
A parishioner of St. Gerard Majella RC Church, Paterson, Albert was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. A Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist for over 50 years, Albert served at Parkway Hospital in New York, Chilton Hospital, Pequannock, where he was Department Director, and St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Albert was a supporter of Christmas Seals for children and was a Scout Leader at St. Gerard's for many years.
Beloved husband of Amelia (Muniz). Devoted father of Elena Pagan and her husband John of Sussex, Angelina Vega and her husband Antonio, Sr., of Paterson, and the late Albert and Richard Duran. Loving grandfather of Ashley and Justin Pagan, Esmeralda Vega, Albert, III, Brandon, Sasha, Amor, Richard, Jr., and Darian Duran, the late Antonio Vega, Jr., and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Wilfredo of Florida.
Funeral Friday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Entombment, Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to either the American Cancer Society, www.Cancer.org , or the Alzheimer's Association, www.Alz.org , in memory of Albert would be greatly appreciated.
