Obituary

Aida Patria Purcell (Irizarry) 80, passed away on December 10, 2020. Born in Lajas, Puerto Rico, she moved to NJ in 1954 and settled in Passaic. Patria was a devoted member of the United Puerto Rican Council of Passaic and Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and dog Bandit. She worked as a seamstress for both Peter Caruso's Leatherwear and Frank Saltz and Sons, Passaic. Patria also worked as a hairdresser for Chin's Galaxy Of Styles, Passaic for 47 years.

Beloved wife of the late James Richard Purcell who passed away in 2013. Devoted mother of Jeanette Mow and her husband Steven of Cape Coral, FL and Lisa Stansfield and her husband Scott of Wayne. Cherished grandmother of Ashley and Frankie Greulich and Scotty Stansfield. Patria was one of 16 siblings who is survived by three loving sisters: Corporita Rivera, Sequita Camacho, and Rosa Ortiz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Sunday 2-5 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Services and Entombment will be private.
