Adeline Rybicki Mangan, 93, of Clifton, entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2017, at the NJ Veterans Home, Paramus, after a long challenge with Alzheimer's Disease.

Born in Passaic, she moved to Clifton after marriage to Henry Rybicki, who died in 1964. Adeline graduated from Passaic High School, Class of 42, and was a member of the Reunion Reservation Committee. She graduated from William Paterson State College in 1971 with a BA in Elementary Education, after 6 1/2 years of evening classes.

Adeline was a past member of the YM-YWHA, the Athenia Veterans Post, Ladies Auxiliary, the Clifton Elks Lodge and the Totowa VFW. She was also a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a Lifetime Member of Weight Watchers, and participated in the Sweet Adelines. She worked as a secretary and clerk typist at Gold Star, Inc, 1982-1987, and Cooper Jarret, Inc., 1972-1981. Adeline married "Jerry" Carroll Gerard Mangan in 1984.

Adeline is survived by her husband Jerry, daughters Laura Varvaro and Linda Fox, son-in-law Fred Fox, 2 grandchildren Lisa and Kevin, sisters-in-law Adeline and Joan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the US. She was predeceased by sisters Alexandria, Stephanie and Lettie, and brothers Walter and Joseph Dubiel.

Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Sunday 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
